Thank you for an amazing holiday season!
As we step into a new year, we are filled with gratitude for our incredible supporters. Thanks to your generosity, we not only met our holiday fundraising goal of $300,000 but surpassed it, raising an astounding $340,000. This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without your faithfulness and commitment to transforming the lives of Maasai girls. Your contributions are making an immediate and lasting impact.
Maasai ecoLodge construction updates
The funds raised have fueled significant progress on our Maasai ecoLodge project. Phase 2 construction, which includes the second set of four villas, is now underway. The main lodge and first four villas are on track to be finished by fall, with the remaining four villas set for completion by the end of the year.
The foundations, walls, and roofs of the first 4 villas are complete and work has begun on the interiors. The landscaping, retaining walls, and pathways between the buildings are finished, creating a cohesive and beautiful environment. Additionally, a pool has been dug, a large firepit built, and a stunning deck will soon enhance the back of the main lodge.

A Joyful Christmas celebration
Christmas at MGRC was a time of joy and togetherness. The girls attended church, enjoyed a delicious holiday meal, and received gifts. Thanks to Threads of Hope, each girl was given a handmade pillowcase and dress. Additionally, each girl received a new pillow and shoes, adding to the joy of the celebration.

Back-to-School excitement
With the new school year beginning, it’s a busy time for everyone at Maasai Girls Rescue Center. We’ve ensure that our 73 girls were placed in the best educational environment for her age, capabilities, and goals. While some will continue in government schools, others will attend private or vocational schools tailored to their needs and aspirations.

Spotlight on Papricut’s video production
We were honored to collaborate with Papricut on a video for International Women’s Day. This production highlights the transformative work happening at Maasai Girls Rescue Center, showcasing how our ecoVillage empowers abused and abandoned Maasai girls through education, vocational training, and sustainability initiatives. For instance, the ecoFarm now produces 90% of our food, ensuring nutrition while reducing costs. The theme, “Let’s Accelerate Action,” aligns perfectly with our mission to create lasting change.
