We’re growing and we need your help. Your contribution goes directly to providing 30 locally-built bunkbeds for our Maasai girls, and helps sustain a healthy and safe sleeping enviroment.
With your donation, we will be able to provide the girls with their OWN bed to sleep in each night.
One bunkbed costs $250, and includes:
– 1 sturdy, locally-built wooden bed frame
– 2 mattresses, sheets and blankets
– 2 pillows with pillow cases
All donations towards our 30 bunkbeds fundraiser will be matched up to $1,500 by a generous donor.

We operate entirely off public donations, angel donors, and volunteers. 100% of donations goes directly to the care of the girls.
Maasai Girls Rescue Center provides a safe haven for the most at-risk Maasai girls who are orphaned, fleeing from forced child-marriages, FGM, and/or living in abusive conditions in the Longido District of Tanzania. MGRC adopts the girls and provides housing, food, education, and full access to medical care.
While we have made some great strides with our sustainability projects, but we still have a lot to accomplish. With your donation, we’re one step closer to caring for 100 at-risk Maasai girls.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and generosity. Together, we can directly and positively impact the lives of the girls at Maasai Girls Rescue Center.
Our Sustainability and Ongoing Projects
MGRC currently rents the facilities at LOOCIP. Our goal is to acquire land of our own so we can build newer facilities and continue to develop sustainability projects.
This has been difficult to sustain given the climate and limited access to water. We hope to continue to grow vegetables for the girls’ meals and fodder for livestock, instead of driving 2 hours across uninhabitable land (no roads) to the nearest market.
Goats for Christmas
2018 holiday fundraiser. 100 goats were donated, providing meat and breeding opportunities for extra income that helps cover operational costs. Our girls learn how to take care for the goats and business skills – empowering them to improve their quality of life as an adult.
3 cows were purchased with campaign donations. Our dairy cows produce several liters of milk a day for the girls’ meals. The girls are taught how to milk and care for the cows which will help them create sustainable livelihoods as adults.
As more girls arrive at MGRC and grow up, monthly donations help with the purchase of necessary school supplies and uniforms for the girls’ ongoing education and training.
