Hugh’s Grand Canyon Rim-to-Rim Hike for MGRC Fundraiser
Please support Hugh Illsley, 71, who will embark on this epic 24 mile Grand Canyon hike June 1!
Hugh will leave from the North Rim, challenging personal limits as he decends 8,000 ft to the bottom of the canyon. After hours of knee-pounding hiking, he’ll reach the sandy banks of the Colorado River before starting the 7,000 ft ascent back out to the South Rim.
He will complete the 24 mile hike in one day on behalf of the Maasai Girls Rescue Center (MGRC).
“If I didn’t have them as a motivator, I wouldn’t be doing this. I hope you feel similarly inspired!” ~ Hugh
Hugh and Rick Morro met years ago through a men’s Bible study group and a Christian outreach program at Scottsdale Bible Church. Rick travelled to Tanzania in 2012 to visit the two schools the church supports. He decided to stay and founded MGRC. Hugh and his wife, Joanne, have seen the charitable work on behalf of the Maasai people firsthand.

Hugh’s Grand Canyon Hike for a GREAT cause!
Great job Hugh!
Hugh, the video was touching. We already sponsor 10 children overseas, but I couldn’t resist helping. I’m happy to make a small donation to help a good cause, where 100% of the funds reach the girls. That part is very important to me.
Good luck. Luke
Great cause, God bless you
Great cause…..great brother!
