Summer of growth has officially arrived at the Maasai Girls Rescue Center (MGRC) in Tanzania! It is filled with excitement, learning, and transformation. From June 6 to July 8, our girls are on their school break—and instead of slowing down, they’re diving into hands-on activities that build confidence and self-reliance.

With the ecoLodge pool now completed, swim lessons are officially underway! Not only do these sessions provide fun and exercise—they are essential for water safety, a critical life skill for our girls.

Cooking with Confidence
Thanks to weekend classes led by our ecoLodge chefs, the girls are gaining hands-on culinary experience—learning to prepare nutritious meals and discovering their inner confidence.

Digital literacy is crucial in today’s world. Our girls are learning essential computer skills, from typing and email to creating documents and presentations—setting them up for future success.

The lodge now features stunning, life-sized Maasai-inspired sculptures—giraffes, zebras, baboons, and figures of a Maasai woman and man—all crafted from wire and concrete by a skilled local artisan.
