Meet our Maasai Girls
MGRC takes in disadvantaged, at-risk Maasai girls – the starving, abused, abandoned, victims of FGM or forced child-marriage. Some have serious medical conditions such as congenital or orthopedic issues, Trachoma, and other parasitic infections. With the involvement of social welfare government authorities, MGRC accepts custody of the neediest girls.
First the rescued girls’ basic needs of health, nutrition and shelter are met at the center. Medical treatment is provided by Plaster House in Arusha. The girls are enrolled in nearby schools. Our staff members and volunteers give the girls love, care and guidance to help find their path in life. A better, brighter future is made possible by generous donors and sponsors.
